Troubleshooting¶
Problems an operator meets are in When it faults. This page is for the ones that stop you before the cell even runs.
The application¶
- It will not start, or closes at once.
- Start it again once. If it still fails, send us what the screen said and the version.
- The 3D view is black, or very slow.
- The machine is drawing with the wrong graphics device. Check that Stackmill is using the real graphics card rather than the integrated one.
The licence¶
- "The licence server is unreachable."
- The machine cannot reach us. That matters only at activation and, on a machine with no security module, at every check-in. See Activate a licence.
- The licence stopped working after a hardware change.
- A new board or a cleared security module breaks the binding. Ask for a rebinding from the licence panel.
- Export is disabled.
- The software is running as a demo. A file saved in demo mode also opens only on the machine that saved it.
The robot connection¶
- Stackmill cannot see the robot.
- Check power and network first — the state bar says Offline and reconnects on its own once the robot answers.
- The robot is reachable but nothing moves.
- Almost always the controller is not in remote mode. The screen says Robot not in remote mode. See FANUC controller setup.
The cell¶
- The stack leans, or boxes land further out on each layer.
- The cell's idea of where the pallet is has drifted. Calibrate.
- The same fault returns after every reset.
- Stop and call us rather than resetting again. A fault that repeats is telling you something the reset is not fixing.
