Bundles and interlayers¶
Bundles¶
A bundle is several parts handled as one — a shrink-wrapped pack, or several boxes taken in a single grip. The recipe treats the bundle as the unit it places, so the pattern is computed from the bundle's dimensions, not the individual part's.
The tool has to be able to take the whole bundle in one motion. This is where a multi-part grip is described.
Interlayers¶
A sheet between layers. Declare its thickness in the recipe: an interlayer the recipe does not know about makes every layer above it land low, and the error adds up over the stack.
Stickers¶
Where a face must be labelled, the recipe needs to know which face and which way it points — which constrains the disposition. Decide this before choosing a layer pattern, not after: a pattern that puts half the boxes label-inwards is a pattern you cannot use.
