Exporting to the robot

What is exported

The robot's own program — the motions, the logic and the positions — plus the register map Stackmill uses to talk to it. Everything the robot needs to run the cell, and nothing that only matters inside Stackmill.

A program with an error will not export. That is deliberate: the last place to discover a broken reference is on the pendant.

Transferring

Send the export to the controller over the network, or carry it. Either way the controller ends up holding the program Stackmill generated.

Checking on the pendant

Look at the program on the pendant before running it — not to edit it, but to confirm that what arrived is what you exported and that the register numbers are the ones you expect.

Do not edit it there. The next export overwrites it, and a change that exists only on the pendant is a change nobody will find. Change it in Stackmill.

Re-exporting

Any change to the scene, the recipe or the program means exporting again. Names matter here: a renamed tool or program can change what the export is called, so check what you are overwriting on the controller.
